On: Why I love getting mail

Ordering online is such a treat, not only do I end up with some really great deals, it's a delight to get all these presents in the mail. I also must be sliding into senility because I generally forget what it is that I've ordered until it actually arrives, so it's always like an extra treat. Today my UPS friend brought me these surprisingly nice Merona Oxfords. A steal if ever there was one.

Life without a camera

is merely a half-life as blogger ... I fully intend to post outfits and pictures of things/people that inspire me as well as some of the DIY things I'm working on (I have no original ideas nor am I talented in any sense, I just try to follow the lead of people like camille) but at present I am cameraless. All I've got is my iPhone camera and the one on my computer, neither of which really is cutting it. I hope to have the situation recitifed soon, but in the meantime a little inspiration:

Since I am just going to start this blog off with a bang, I thought I'd write a little about blog lovin'. I've been using it for a little over a week now and rather pleased. It's like a fantastic RSS feeder tailor made for my insane fashion needs. It also has kept me from going slightly crazy trying to find out when my favorite bloggers have updated. And thus starts my blogging life... I thought I would use this as an area for my daily musings, photos of my outfits and things that inspire me. I've had a great time lurking in the "What are you wearing thread?" on tFS and I thought I'd go ahead and share some of my (mis)adventures thrifting and various other fashion induced mayhem and inspiration. I love my TiVo, especially since without it I would have completely missed My Fair Lady on TMC a few days ago. Let's take a moment to revel in the glory that is that black and white dress. It feels fresh and masterful every time I see it. This year it is a perfect complement to the graphic mood that seems to be common theme in all the fall collection. I live in NYC so black is my wardrobe staple, but sometimes the only thing better than an all black ensemble is a black and white ensemble...
